Virat Kohli warned informally for chatting with girl friend Anushka Sharma during the match against DD: Following the washed out match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Delhi Daredevils (DD) in Bangalore, it is reported that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) the parent body of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has ‘informally warned’ the RCB skipper Virat Kohli after he was snapped chatting with his girlfriend Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma during the rain interrupting in the match against DD at Bangalore.

It is learnt that the Virat talking to Anushka has come in line of the rules laid down by the Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) of the BCCI which does not allow the players to meet their Wives and Girlfriends (WAGs) during the match. The ACSU has been deployed to keep an eye on the cricketers both on the ground and also while they are in the team hotel during the IPL to prevent any possibility of bookies or any non cricketing authority getting in touch with the players.

Top BCCI official and former IPL Boss Rajiv Shukla said: “We shouldn’t blow the thing out of proportion but I have spoken to him and told him he shouldn’t speak to anyone when technically the match is still on. At the Chinnaswamy [stadium], there is only a partition between the VIP enclosure and the players area and hence he may have spoken. If the ACSU officials inform us we will definitely warn him but I have already informally spoken to him and told him not to do this,”
