He has made a strong impact on the psyche of supporters and has garnered a significant fan-base. The audience craves to get a glimpse of the enigmatic personality and packs the stands at different venues to see Virat wield his magic on the cricket pitch.
Recently, he played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL) and was the franchise’s leading run-scorer. The 29-year old conjured roars from the crowd whenever a shot off his willow raced away to the boundary or when he accomplished a milestone. Such has been his class that a wax-statue has recently been built at the Delhi studio of Madame Tussauds on June 7.
Several fans flocked to catch a glimpse of the sculpture, mobbed the statue and took selfies with it. However, amidst the chaos, a portion of the statue got damaged. As per reports in The Statesman, the right ear of the figure got broken. The officials were brisk to realise the matter and they immediately sent it to the workshops for repairs.

“Virat Kohli has made tremendous contributions to national and international cricket. His passion and commitment to the Indian cricket team have inspired many youngsters. We had to get his statue after lots of requests from his fans,” Jain said.
