Virender Sehwag praises Virat Kohli for his great run in IPL
Virat Kohli has been amongst the runs for a long time now. Kohli has scored 3 half-centuries in the three-match Twenty20 series against Australia in Australia and followed it up with great batting performances in the Asia Cup and World T20 Cup 2016 earlier this year.
Now, currently in IPL, the RCB skipper has been unstoppable by being the first batsman to score 3 centuries in an edition of the IPL and becomes the first player ever to score over 750 runs in a single edition of IPL.
Sehwag used the famous dialogue from the Bollywood movie, Don, with a bit of change to praise Kohli on his chasing capabilities. He tweeted, “Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi namumkin hai, par @imVkohli jaise chase karte hain, Don ko bhi pakad sakte hain. (It is not just difficult, but impossible to catch Don. But with the way Virat Kohli chases, he can even catch Don).”
Virat Kohli currently has 752 runs against his name in this season with a minimum of two more matches to go. Virat has a blistering average of 83.55 with 3 centuries and 5 half-centuries at a strike-rate of 148.03.
Virat Kohli’s side, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) need to win their final two games to qualify for the playoffs this season. They will play against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on 18th May at Bangalore and will play their last match of the group stages against Delhi Daredevils (DD) on 22 May at Raipur.
