Watch: Barinder Sran talks about his first practice session with the Indian team
India is currently in Australia and isn’t wasting any time ahead of the limited overs series. The newest inclusion in the squad, Barinder Sran is also sweating it hard in the nets and was busy prepping up for the competition.
After the net sessions yesterday, the talented fast bowler Barinder Sran and had a short chat and shared his experience of how he was feeling after the first session with the Indian national team.
Sran said that he is relaxed after the practice session as before he was little worried about the team environment. When asked about how he felt to be a part of the Indian team in the nets, Sran said, “I was very happy and proud to have become a part of the Indian team. Just a few months back, I was bowling to them in the nets and now I have become a part of it, so I am feeling happy.”
“Everyone is helpful and very approachable. They understand that they had also gone through a similar stage when they had joined the team for the first time. I am very comfortable now.”
Barinder Sran was the most surprising inclusion in the India squad for the ODI series with Australia which would commence in a couple of days. The left-arm fast bowler from Punjab has taken giant strides in his career so far and will obviously carry huge expectations on his shoulders.

For Sran, strong performances at the domestic level have been the stepping stone for his success. He played 7 matches for Punjab in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and picked up 14 wickets with 4/60 being his best performance in a match. He averaged 27.42 with an economy rate of 6.04, picking up one 5-wicket haul as well.
