Watch: Hashim Amla’s shocking leave off Jadeja’s arm ball: India’s win over South Africa on the third day’s play of the Mohali Test featured a match-winning five-wicket haul from Ravindra Jadeja, his first at home. Jadeja had been dropped from the squad in August 2014 and overlooked for the tours to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka this year.

Back in the squad after a phenomenal  run of form in the Ranji Trophy for Saurashtra, Jadeja was boarded into the team for the Mohali Test and was adjudged Man of the Match for his vital eight wickets, a crucial 38 in India’s first innings, and couple of catches.

Out of the eight dismissals, the delivery that stunned South African skipper Hashim Amla, would go down as one of the best in the match.

The left-arm spin turned towards the wooden furniture, and castled the stumps, leaving Hashim Amla in a dilemma. The South African skipper failed to tickle the scores, as he went back for a duck. South Africa were tottering at 10-3, when India saw Amla’s back.

Ravindra Jadeja picked up 5 wickets for 21 runs in the second innings, as India won the match by 108 runs. Apart from Hashim Amla’s wicket, the left-arm spinner scalped Vernon Philander, Dane Vilas, Simon Harmer and  Imran Tahir number.

India earlier posted 201 on the board in the first innings, South Africa in reply gave a slender lead of 17 runs to India, as the visitors were bowled out for 184.

Cheteshwar Pujara lifted India in the second innings, as the hosts posted 200 on the score sheet. South Africa were bowled out for 109 in the fourth innings, as they batted for 39.5 overs.
