Kieron Pollard smashing 6 sixes in an over: Australia is pretty busy with Cricket these days. India Australia test series is going on; there is a 50 over World Cup due in Australia in February 2015. Amongst all these Australia domestic T20 competition Big Bash League 2014-15 is starting on Dec 18. There are 8 participating teams with Perth Scorchers being the defending champions. All the participating teams are getting ready for it.

In one of the practice games, Kieron Pollard playing for Adelaide Strikers struck 6 sixes in an over to a left arm spinner. One of these sixes was a monster hit where the ball landed on the road. This feat has already been achieved in international T20 by India’s Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj Singh achieved that feat in a game against England in inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007.

Kieron Pollard is one of the most sought after T20 cricketers around the world. He has represented several T20 teams across the globe. Apart from Big Bash League, he has participated in Indian Premier League, Bangladesh Premier League and English domestic T20 competition as well.

Usually Kieron Pollard is severe on all the bowlers, but spinners in particular are his targets. He backs himself to clear the ropes on any ground against any spinners. When Kieron Pollard is on song, there is nothing much a bowler can do except just land the bowls in right areas and expect a mistake from the big man because such is the power of the man that even the miss hits go for a six.

Adelaide Strikers has some experienced T20 players in shape of Johan Botha as captain and seasoned campaigner Brad Hodge. But their chances rely heavily on Kieron Pollard and they will hope he replicates his preparations into real match form.
