Watch: Mitchell Johnson perfect reply to Ahmed Shehzad

The greatest joy for a fast bowler is to witness stumps flying in all directions of their own bowling. Especially a tall, fast and nasty fast bowler like Mitchell Johnson. On the contrary, one of the worst sights for a fast bowler is to witness his delivery full of pace dispatched into the crowd.

The recently retired Mitchell Johnson is a genuinely quick Aussie pace bowler. Capable of clocking unimaginable speeds, Johnson is already a legend in most people’s book. In spite of clinching the ODI series quite comprehensively, Australia came up short against a seasoned Pakistani test side led by veteran Misbah ul Haq. Johnson too felt the pressure as his side failed to overhaul the Pakistanis.

The second test played at Abu Dhabi showed no respite for the Aussies as they were quickly bowled out for 261. Pakistan chose not to enforce the follow-on as Pakistan opening pair Ahmed Shehzad and Mohammed Hafeez took the wicket, ready to face the Aussie pace attack.

Making his intentions crystal clear, Ahmed Shehzad went after the bowling right from the word go. Johnson, given the new ball at the start of the Pakistan innings seemingly had no answer to the early onslaught by Shehzad. The first delivery of the Pakistan innings disappeared to the boundary. Two deliveries later, Shehzad struck yet another boundary.

The penultimate delivery of the over however, thrust a massive amount of pressure on Johnson. Bowling at a rapid 140 odd miles/hour, Shehzad deposited the red cherry over the mid-wicket fence into the crowd.

However what was to follow was the demise of the explosive Ahmed Shehzad. A perfect Yorker saw the aggressive Shehzad castled with his off stump dislodged from the ground.
