Watch: Parthiv Patel gets the MTV Bakra Crown: Parthiv Patel is at one of the high points in his career, as his team the Mumbai Indians (MI) won the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 championship. The wicket-keeper who opened the innings for his team along with West Indian Lendl Simmons gave the team some brilliant starts and it proved pivotal in the MI going on to clinch the Trophy. Though Parthiv is in his 30’s now, but continues to wear the innocent, unsuspicious childlike look on his face. This incident happened when he was actually a kid in his teens. Patel was made a Bakra by the MTV team.

He was scheduled to go for a shoot for the Channel, and while he was on the way, his driver complained of experiencing pain in his chest and requested if he could take on the drivers’ seat. Just back from the World Cup 2003, Parthiv had turned 18 the same year on the 9^th of March. As pre-planned the cops halted the car and asked the cricketer to show them his driving license as they suspected he was not an adult and shouldn’t be driving.

While he produced his license and explained them the scenario, the driver took a U-turn; he stated to the cops that since Parthiv wanted to drive, he asked him to take the back seat and let him handle the car. He was asked to pay the fine, faced a punishment for an offence he did not commit nor was it an offence actually. Once the cat was out of the bag, as the crew came along and crowned him the Bakra Cap / Crown , he had a LOL moment so did we.
