Like billions of Indians and Indian cricket fans the Star Sports network also wanted the team to win and qualify for the final as they had shot the ad for the final in advance.

It was going to be the one last chance for all the fans to cheer, to dance and to sing Mauka Mauka. The stage was set, New Zealand had already qualified all MS Dhoni & Co. needed was to beat Australia and march their way into the finals.

But it could not work out the way many of us wanted and imagined it; Australia beat India in the semi finals of the world cup 2015. Thus ending the unbeaten streak and defense journey of the defending champions, it was not team India’s defeat but a billion dreams were broken, the dream of watching their skipper, lift his second world champions trophy in a row.

Since India did not actually advance into the final, the Mauka was lost, many mocked and made fun of the team on the same theme after their ICC Cricket World Cup exit, while Star Sports would have also been a disappointed lot, as they had worked out another touching and a beautiful commercial but did not get an opportunity to air it.
