West Indies declare 15 members squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) selectors have declared the West Indies cricket team for the ICC cricket world cup 2015. The selectors have recently changed the leadership in order to provide the team a young, characteristic captain. Jason Holder the tall fast bowler has been trusted for the job.

So Holder will head into the world cup with the team which surprisingly doesn’t include Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard in the 15 member squad.
While Darren Bravo, Sunil Narine and Kemar Roach have made a comeback in the team for the ICC world cup 2015.

While Carlos Brathwaite, Narsingh Deonarine and Leon Johnson have been overlooked for inclusion in the squad which will carry the hopes of the Caribbean team and nation for a solid World Cup performance something they have failed to do since Kapil Dev led Indian cricket team uprooted them from the title in 1983.

A lot of their expectations will lie on Chris Gayle’s massive shoulders as his prowess is a universal fact now. Gayle can single handedly change fortunes fot the team and who knows the one time T20 world champions might upset the heavyweights with a historic performance.

West Indies 15 members’ squad for the ICC cricket world cup 2015: Jason Holder (captain), Marlon Samuels, Sulieman Benn, Darren Bravo, Jonathan Carter, Sheldon Cottrell, Chris Gayle, Sunil Narine, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Kemar Roach, Andre Russell, Darren Sammy, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Smith, Jerome Taylor

In: Darren Bravo, Sunil Narine, Kemar Roach

Out: Carlos Brathwaite, Narsingh Deonarine, Leon Johnson.
