I will always look back to KKR with fond memories, says veteran all-rounder
"I'm excited about the new challenge ahead," Yusuf noted.
Veteran Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan is a big name in the Indian cricketing circuit. He is one of the finest entertainers in the game. Currently, he is playing in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). His next assignment will be the Indian Premier League (IPL). Yusuf will be seen playing for a new franchise this season. He will be taking the field for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
For the last seven seasons, he was associated with the Kolkata Knight Riders. Recently, as per the quotes in NDTV, he remarked that he has no regrets over the fact that the KKR camp did not retain him at the auctions this year. He mentioned that the memories of the KKR camp will always be good ones for him.
“Not at all. I enjoyed my time there and I will always look back to KKR with fond memories. But it’s time to move on and I’m excited about the new challenge ahead,” Yusuf noted.
When asked if the fans will get to see a hard-hitting Yusuf Pathan who would be keen on entertaining the fans yet again, Yusuf answered, “Absolutely. Every year is a new challenge, and I am preparing myself for it. I’m currently playing in the Dhaka Premier League. Hopefully this season, I will be able to come stronger.”
On fellow all-rounders
Speaking further on his new assignment, Yusuf Pathan hopes to do well for SRH. At the SRH camp, he will also have Shakib Al Hasan in the team. Commenting on the same, Yusuf noted that he does not see Shakib as a competitor, rather he sees him as a companion. The two players had previously played together for KKR.
“Shakib has been a good friend and he is a great all-rounder. We played together at KKR as well, so I consider him to be more of a companion than a competition. Together we will look to contribute to the success of the team,” noted the hard-hitting all-rounder.
