England Women’s embarrassment continued in the Women’s Ashes as the Australia Women sealed the T20I series as well with one game still to be played. This defeat brought an end to England Women’s winning streak of nine T20I bilateral series. This was also the first instance since the start of 2011 that England Women lost a T20I series at home. The tour will conclude on Wednesday when both sides face off in Bristol.

In a certain dead rubber, the home side has a lot at stake to play for. They have never failed to win at least game whenever they played more than one game in a T20I series/tournament. To ensure that they win at least one game in this Ashes series, the England Women have to get the wicket of Meg Lanning. The Australian skipper scored 333 T20I runs without being dismissed since the start of 2018 against the English team.

Expert Advice:

Amy Jones is going through a horrific time with the bat in this Ashes series. She has been dismissed for a duck on four out of five innings in the limited-overs. She got out for five runs in the other game and is yet to score a run in this T20I series. Ellyse Perry has been crucial behind Jones’ struggles. The Australian all-rounder bowled well with the new ball which is considered for picking her in our Suggested XI irrespective of her batting position.

Probable Winners:

Australia Women are expected to finish the tour with a T20I series whitewash.
