1) Colin Munro (New Zealand)

The Kiwi opening batsman is a destructive player at the top of the order and his combination with Martin Guptill can work wonders for the team. Colin Munro has the ability to carve out bowlers with his brute power game. He has played 51 ODIs for the Blackcaps in which he has scored over 1100 at an average of 25. Munro is a player whose average is overlooked by the New Zealand team because when he is on song his striking can change the game in a matter of overs and his strike rate of 106 proves it.

The left-hander made his debut in 2013 and for a couple of years, he was in the team as a back-up option for injured stars. After the retirement of Brendon McCullum, Munro got more opportunities and has played odd fantastic knocks. Recently, the southpaw is not having a good time with the willow in his hand, as he has scored only 2 fifties in his last 20 outings. The selectors have backed him to come good in the World Cup. At 32, this might be his last chance to play such a celebrated event.
