The home team has put together a very resilient squad to bring the World Cup home. While everything is working according to plan so far, injuries have been a concern. Roy was ruled out leaving the squad to bank on Vince as the back-up. The team that played against Afghanistan should be retained for the match against Sri Lanka. Bringing Hales back to the team is not a decision that will be taken easily.

He was given treatment at the hospital, while the doctors reset his dislocated finger and the cut was closed with stitches. The good news is that Pradeep is set to join the team to play against England.

Sri Lanka’s middle order is the biggest issue of them all.
