Rohit Sharma was always destined for big things and since the last World Cup, he has achieved tremendous success. The Mumbaikar has scored over 3400 runs in 63 matches at a stunning average of 54. He is one of the few opening batsmen who always cashes in on his opportunities, and on his day he can be the Hulk of the cricketing universe.

The Kohli-led side will want Sharma to be in top-notch form and he will determine the fortunes of the Indian team in this edition. Like his opening partner, Rohit struggles on seaming pitches and that’s why he can be a given a rating of 8. He will want to spend some time early in the innings before really going for it.

The vice-captain of the side is an excellent fielder inside the circle. He even features in the slips during the middle-overs. Rohit takes difficult catches and his in-ring athleticism is a treat to watch. He possesses a safe pair of hands but he is not a dasher in the field which makes him a 7 pointer in this aspect.
