World Cup 2019: Rishabh Pant and Ziva Dhoni have fun during India-Pakistan match in Manchester
Ziva and Pant had earlier featured in a fun video during the IPL and continue to bond well.
The India-Pakistan match at Old Trafford in Manchester looked more like a carnival of cricket, rather than an encounter between two bitter rivals. Supporters of both the sides were there to enjoy the game and so were the families of the players who were cheering for their better halves along with their loved ones. Amongst them was Sakshi Dhoni and Ziva Dhoni who were enjoying the match and cheering MS Dhoni and co. on the field.
The support mattered the most in the high-pressure game and eventually India crushed Pakistan by 89 runs via DLS method, thanks to a brilliant 140 by Rohit Sharma and 77 from Virat Kohli. Rishabh Pant was also present at the Old Trafford cheering for the Men in Blue as he was called in as a cover for Shikhar Dhawan who fractured his left thumb against Australia and the Indian team is waiting for him to recover.
Given that he is not a part of Indian squad officially, Pant was seen having some fun with Ziva Dhoni on the sidelines. The young wicketkeeper-batsman already has a reputation with kids, ever since his babysitter photo with wife and kids of Australia Test captain Tim Paine.
Rishabh posted a video on his social media account where he is making faces at Ziva and she is responding back in kind and the duo was seen having lots of fun. Pant was earlier seen bonding with MS Dhoni’s daughter during the IPL 2019 when a video of Ziva teaching Pant the Hindi alphabets went viral and was well appreciated.

Meanwhile, Pakistan didn’t have a good day with either the ball or the bat against India in what was a much-hyped encounter between the two sides. Apart from Mohammad Amir, who took three wickets, Hassan Ali and Wahab Riaz looked toothless. Hassan spent over 80 runs in his quota, while Sarfaraz Ahmed’s ploy to play two spinners in Shadab and Imad fell flat with both of them also going for runs.
When the time came for their batting, Fakhar Zaman scored 62 and Babar Azam made 48 and the duo had a century partnership. This was the only positive for them during the chase, as Vijay Shankar, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav picked two wickets each to rout the green team.
