Joe Root’s 168 runs in four matches at a strike-rate of 150 makes him England’s best batsman so far in the World T20. He lies second to Virat Kohli as the highest run-getter in the league stages. Root has been a consistent performer across all formats for his team. The 25-year old’s best knock came against the South Africa in Mumbai where he spearhead the world record chase against South Africa with his fabulous knock of 83 off just 44 balls.
