Shane Watson’s re-emergence in the Australian team was a great advantage for the Australians. He received surprise call-up to play against India in the homes series prior to the World T20. He justified his selection and travelled to India for the World T20. His team, unfortunately, could not make it past the Super 10 stages but he did well in both departments. Watto made 96 runs off the bat and 5 wickets with the ball in the four games he played before retiring from international cricket with the final league game against India.
