'You will always be my captain' - Mohammed Siraj pens a tribute for Virat Kohli
Mohammed Siraj stated that Virat Kohli is his superhero, and expressed his gratitude for the support he has received from Kohli over the years.
Virat Kohli announced his decision to step down as the captain of the Indian Test side after the conclusion of the 3rd Test match against South Africa. India lost the three-match Test series 1-2.
Kohli took to social media to announce his decision. The 33-year-old stated that he has given his best for the team every time he has walked onto the field and done his job with honesty.
Kohli also went on to thank the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and his teammates for supporting him throughout his stint as the skipper of the Indian Test team.
“I’ve done the job with absolute honesty and left nothing out there. I want to thank the BCCI for giving me the opportunity to lead my country for such a long period of time and more importantly to all the teammates who bought into the vision I had for the team from day one and never gave up in any situation,” tweeted Kohli.

And now, Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj has taken to social media to shower praises on Kohli. Siraj stated that Kohli is his superhero, and expressed his gratitude for the support he has received from Kohli over the years.
Adding that Kohli is his brother, Siraj thanked Kohli for trusting him and his ability. The right-arm pacer concluded by stating that Kohli will always remain his captain.
“To my superhero, I cannot be thankful enough for the support and the encouragement that I got from you. You have always been my great brother. Thank you for trusting me and believing in me for all these years. For seeing the great at my worst. You will be always be my captain King Kohli,” stated Mohammed Siraj on Instagram.
Virat Kohli will next be seen in action on the field on 19th January 2022 when India takes on South Africa in the 1st ODI of the three-match series at Boland Park in Paarl.
