When Tymal Mills broke on to the scene, there was a lot of hype around him. He had the ability to send down fast thunderbolts and also bowl canny slower balls bringing the pace down drastically. In fact, he had rattled someone like Chris Gayle as well before knocking him over. Hence, he was one of the biggest attractions in the 2017 IPL auctions.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) broke the bank for the left-arm pacer and bought him for INR 12 crores. However, he turned out to be a big disappointment. The English fast bowler played just five games and returned with five wickets. He was expensive as well.

Meanwhile, Mills has played three seasons of the PSL so far and has been pretty successful. In fact, his numbers in the PSL are much better than his IPL numbers. In 17 innings, Mills has picked up 23 wickets which have come at a strike-rate of 16.5. Hence, it’s no surprise that the left-arm pacer is still a regular part of the PSL and not the IPL.
