Darren Sammy has been the talisman for Peshawar Zalmi ever since the PSL started. He has been the skipper for the most part of the last four years. In fact, only Sarfraz Ahmed has played more games as captain than Sammy in the history of the PSL. Moreover, Zalmi has reached the final (one win and two losses) in each of the last three seasons.

The former West Indian captain doesn’t bowl much these days but is still handy with the bat. He can tonk the ball a long way and is excellent as captain. Sammy averages nearly 27 and strikes at 150.46 in 45 PSL games. He is at No. 15 in the most runs list across all PSL seasons.

On the other hand, the all-rounder has played just 22 IPL games which have spanned across three seasons and for two seasons (RCB and SRH). He averages 19.67 and has a strike-rate of 122.41. Hence, there is no comparison between the two leagues for Sammy. He has enjoyed playing in the PSL and has better numbers when compared to the IPL.
