5. Mitchell Starc

Mitchell Starc looked in superb form during the Border-Gavaskar trophy. He suffered a stress fracture in his foot during the Test series and was sent home to recover. However, Mitchell had pulled out of the IPL even before he picked injury.

Starc had just recovered from the injury before coming to India and did not want to risk it by playing in the IPL, sighting the Champions Trophy in June. That said, his fears came haunting him as he fractured his toe during the Bangalore Test and will now have to sit out of the Champions Trophy in order to be fit for the Ashes later in the year.
