The 13th season Indian Premier League is around the corner. The players will be looking to maintain their performance standards in the tournament. There have been 12 seasons so far and a lot of players from all around the world have made their mark in this cash-rich league.

We are here with the strongest IPL XI of players who are purely right-handed. Though left-handers have the most beautiful and charming playing style, the right-handers still have the majority of players. Creating a playing eleven of such a long tournament, keeping in mind all the great performers was a challenging task.

Not only the aggregates of the players but the impact they had on the matches were also taken into consideration. We tried to provide enough bowling options to the team and also the batting was given enough importance as well. However, for any team, the important part is that the team has a balance and it is very vital in T20s as well.

Here is the best right-handers XI in the IPL history:

1. Shane Watson

Shane Watson has been one of the most consistent performers of the IPL. The two times IPL champion was in excellent touch for Rajasthan Royals in the inaugural season when they won the campaign without any big Indian player in their side. He is a crucial member of the CSK contingent in IPL 2020 and he reliability as a batsman is well known.

Watson’s other attribute is his all-round ability. He doesn’t bowl much now, but before retiring from the international cricket, he was quite a handy medium pace bowler. With a sharp mind and immense experience, he is a reliable bowler in the death overs. Also, he can swing the ball both ways during the powerplays.

With a strike rate of almost 140 and an average of 31, Watson is a great choice to open the batting as he dominates the opposition bowling quite comfortably. The Queenslander holds an interesting achievement against his name, he was the first player to win the man of the tournament award twice in the history of IPL.
