7. Sam Curran

Sam Curran became the most expensive pick in an IPL auction when Punjab Kings procured the services of the star Englishman for a massive INR 18.5 crore. The English all-rounder relished a terrific outing in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2022 as he was adjudged the Player of the Tournament.

In the marquee event held Down Under, he collected 13 wickets which also included a fifer in the very first match against Afghanistan. Therefore, it was not much of a surprise that numerous franchises were interested to make a swoop for the left hander.

Adding to this, the star all-rounder marks his return to the Punjab franchise after his maiden season in the IPL back in 2019. He had also scalped a hat-trick for the side against Delhi Capitals in his outing and will now look to be as important for the side as he has been recently.
