Rashid Khan has been associated with GT since 2022 and in these two years, he has delivered some incredible bowling performances to his side. In the 2022 IPL, the Afghanistan stalwart produced a spunky knock from his bat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.
Chasing 196, GT were five down at a score of 140 in 16 overs. With 56 required off 24 deliveries, Rahul Tewatia was playing some huge strokes but he needed Rashid’s assistance in the middle to take the game deep for his team. Rashid stepped up at the crucial juncture and flexed his muscles.
In the final over, Titans required 22 and Tewatia passed the strike to Rashid after scoring seven off the first two deliveries. With 15 needed off four, the Afghan stalwart hit three maximums and helped GT register a five-wicket win.
