T20 World Cup 2022: Teamwise one player who might not get single game
The T20 World Cup 2022 will kick start on October 16 with the group stages and the action will move towards the Super 12 round from October 22.
2. Australia - Josh Inglis
Josh Inglis has been a proven performer in the T20 circuit. He has featured in 81 T20 games and has accumulated 2005 runs at a stunning strike rate of 147.86. He has the ability to take any bowling attack to the cleaners and the swashbuckling batter has been part of the Australia T20 setup since the last year’s T20 World Cup.
Inglis has got nine opportunities to play for his national side in T20Is and has scored 220 runs at a strike rate of 141.02. Courtesy of the outstanding showings, the wicketkeeper-batter has retained his spot for the forthcoming global tournament.
Australia have Matthew Wade as their top wicketkeeper who has been performing the role of a finisher remarkably well. With him on the side, the 27-year-old might not get an opportunity to make his World Cup debut. Also, the chances for Inglis who is a designated opener to slot in at the top are bleak in the presence of the ace opening pair of Aaron Finch and David Warner.
