2. Mitchell Marsh

Mitchell Marsh has been a proven performer for Australia in white-ball cricket. The 31-year-old has featured in 46 T20Is and scored 1086 runs at an average of 127.01. On the bowling front, he has bagged 15 scalps at an economy of 7.90. In the ODIs, he has scored 1814 runs in 69 matches and picked up  54 wickets for his side.

Delhi Capitals signed the Australian all-rounder at the 2022 mega auction at a hefty sum of INR 6.5 crore. However, he could not feature in the entire season due to a hip flexor injury. Marsh played eight games and scored 251 runs at a strike rate of 132.80. Also, he did not bowl much in those outings to manage his workload.

Marsh has been highly troubled by a left ankle injury of late. The same injury ruled him out of the T20I series against India in September 2022. The Perth-born was not seen much in action with the ball in hand in the T20 World Cup 2022 to avoid another setback.

The flamboyant cricketer has had keyhole surgery on his left ankle recently and is currently recovering from the same. He is not taking part in the ongoing Big Bash League 2022-23 and is set to miss the upcoming Test series against India. Hence, Marsh’s participation in IPL 2023 is doubtful.
