Asia Cup 2023: A look at one weakness of each six participating teams

The Asia Cup 2023 tournament is just around the corner and the squads of five teams have been announced, with Sri Lanka yet to come up with their squad. India, Pakistan, and Nepal have been put in Group A, while Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh are in Group B. The tournament will be played in a hybrid model, with Pakistan hosting four games, including one Super Four stage encounter and the tournament opener is scheduled for August 30, while Sri Lanka will host the remaining games, including the final encounter on September 17.

Pakistan and Nepal will clash in the first match in Multan, while India will play its first match against Pakistan in Kandy, Sri Lanka, on September 2nd and then against Nepal on September 4th, also in Sri Lanka.

The fans are excited about this event as it will be played in ODI format and will serve as a prep for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 as well, which will be played in India from October 5 onwards. Nepal

Nepal will be playing their first-ever Asia Cup tournament, and this is their biggest weakness as they do not have the experience needed to perform against top-level teams. While they have a star cricketer in Sandeep Lamichhane, the rest of their squad just has talent to boot, and the fact that they are captained by a 20-year-old Rohit Paudel might work against them.

However, they could cause an upset on their day, and playing against heavyweights like India and Pakistan will give them valuable experience.
