For Sunil Narine, week four of the tournament went tough as he couldn’t do wonders in both matches. Against the Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders got completely outclassed in all three departments of the game and ended up losing the contest by a huge margin of 49 runs. In the match, CSK batters displayed a spectacular show and took KKR's bowling attack to the cleaners.

Narine, who is the oldest KKR stalwart, also looked helpless while battling the opponents and received a horrendous thrashing. In his two-over spell, the veteran couldn’t contain the flow of runs and ended up delivering an expensive spell of 2.0-0-23-0 to his team. After getting pounded by CSK batters, Narine came out to open the innings for Knight Riders with Narayan Jagadeesan to chase a humongous total of 236.

However, the West Indies player failed to get the team desired start with his bat too and got dismissed on a duck by Akash Singh in the first over, after facing three deliveries. In the next game against RCB at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, he didn’t get a chance to bat but failed to be impactful with the ball.
