IPL: Top 5 best bowling performances for SRH
With a few weeks left for the 2024 IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) fans can bring cheers to their faces with the five best bowling performances of their team.
3. Amit Mishra’s 4/19 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2013
In 2013, SRH made their IPL debut and they gave the responsibility to lead their spin attack to veteran Amit Mishra. The Orange Army concluded their maiden IPL season in the playoffs, losing to Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Eliminator game and Mishra ended up as the side’s leading wicket-taker with 21 scalps in 17 matches.
Against Pune Warriors India at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium, Mishra grabbed his second IPL hat-trick and became the first bowler in IPL to do so. Defending a low total of 119, the leg-break bowler took 4/19 figures and helped Hyderabad register an 11-run win. He took all his four wickets in the 19th over of the innings.
His first victim was Pune captain Angelo Mathews, who got dismissed on the second delivery of the over. After the skipper’s wicket, Mishra got Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rahul Sharma, and Ashok Dinda on consecutive three deliveries and took his team home. The leggie became the recipient of the Player of the Match award for his magnificent bowling display.
