3. Mitchell Starc’s 4/15 against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in 2015
Australia speedster Mitchell Starc was a key bowler for RCB in the 2014 and 2015 seasons. With 20 wickets in 13 matches at an economy of 6.76, he ended up as the leading wicket-taker in the 2015 season. Against Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Aussie grabbed 4/15 figures which is his best bowling performance in IPL.
On Bengaluru’s batting heaven, Chris Gayle hammered Punjab bowlers and notched up his fifth IPL ton. With the Caribbean player’s scintillating 117 off 57, Challengers delivered a massive target of 227 to Punjab. After Gayle’s thrashing, Starc also dominated Punjab and guided Challengers to a humongous 138-run victory.
Opening the bowling for RCB, the speedster got Manan Vohra in the first over of the innings. His other three victims were the tailenders Mitchell Johnson, Anureet Singh, and Karanveer Singh.

2. Wanindu Hasaranga’s 5/18 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2022
Sri Lanka leg-break bowler Wanindu Hasaranga was RCB’s best bowler in the 2022 season with 26 wickets in 16 matches. At the iconic Wankhede Stadium, the leggie shone with the ball and helped his team maul Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 67 runs.
Defending a huge total of 192, RCB bowlers asked tough questions to SRH batters and Hasaranga was almost unplayable. He ended his four-over spell with 5/18 figures. In front of his formidable bowling, Hyderabad’s main batters Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran also capitulated.
