T20 World Cup 2022: 5 longest sixes in history of mega event
T20 World Cup 2022 will see some of the most feared strikers of the game take center stage.
4. Misbah-ul-Haq (111 m)
In the 18th game of the first edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007, Pakistan were locking horns with Australia. Chasing 165, the Men in Green were four down for 46 but then it was the right-handed batter Misbah-ul-Haq who took Pakistan home with his scintillating 66 runs. Misbah decorated his innings with eight boundaries, including a gigantic six of 111 meters.
In the nineteenth over of the game, Nathan Bracken was holding the ball for Australia to defend the total, but with just 13 required off 12 balls, it was just a matter of time for Pakistan batters to wind up the game.
On the third delivery of Bracken’s over, Misbah took Pakistan within touching distance of the total by clearing the stands. Until today, Misbah's maximum is the fourth longest six in the history of T20 World Cups.
