Pakistan - 5/10

The middle-order problem is very much evident in the Pakistan squad as the Men in Green have the quality but consistency has been a huge problem. Asif Ali and Shadab Khan will be in charge of finishing games but players like Mohammad Nawaz can chip in as well.

Even though the 30-year-old Asif Ali claims to hit 150 sixes daily but his consistency has been poor, to say the least. In the ten T20Is that Ali has batted during 2022, he has scored merely 71 runs at an average of just 8.87. His strike rate of 154.34, however, proves that he’s got the strength to clear the ropes. If he manages to finish games for Pakistan regularly, Asif can be the man for crisis as far as Pakistan are concerned.

Shadab Khan too has the same problem as Asif. He knows how to finish games but consistency is a huge problem that he needs to address. The problem also lies in the fact that the all-rounder hasn't got enough chance to bat in T20Is this year. In the four innings that he has batted in 2022 thus far, Shadab has scored 61 runs at a strike rate of 141.86. If the two finishers find their mojo before the T20 World Cup, Pakistan will definitely breathe a sigh of relief.
