Tammy Beaumont was another top performer in the game. The England opener created history after playing a stunning knock of 208 runs. After Australia scored 473 runs in their first innings, England needed one of their top-order batters to score big and Beaumont delivered. Her 208-run knock helped the home side finish their first innings on 463 runs.

Beaumont played 331 deliveries for her knock and struck 27 boundaries. She became just the first woman cricketer from England to score a double century in Tests. Betty Snowball previously held the record for the highest Test score by an English woman for her 189-run knock way back in 1935.

The England opener is now also the only female player to make a score of 200+ in a Test match, 150+ in an ODI and 100+ in a T20I. Overall, she became just the second woman along with her teammate and England captain Heather Knight to score a century in all three international formats.
