WPL 2023: 5 youngsters to watch out for

Sonam Yadav (Mumbai Indians) Sonam Yadav will become the youngest player to feature in the WPL. MI picked her at her base amount of INR 10 lakh In the WPL auction after seeing her performances in the ICC Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup. Following her performance in the ICC tournament, Delhi Capitals (DC) roped her into their squad for INR 25 lakh in the auction. The 19-year-old scored 297 runs for India in seven matches with three half-centuries and ended up as the leading run-scorer in the competition. In the high-scoring match against South Africa U-19, Sehrawat took her team home with her marvellous unbeaten 92-run knock. The skilled opening batter also played a crucial knock of 61 off 45 against New Zealand in the semi-final. Noticing her efficiency as an opener, UP Warriorz might give her the task to open the innings for them along with her captain Alyssa Healy.
