Mumbai Indians women will be taking on Gujarat Giants in the first match of the 2023 WPL.
3. UP Warriorz (UP-W) - Capri Global
The Indian investment holding company Capri Global is the owner of UP Warriorz. Rajesh Sharma, owner of Capri Global is the managing director of the franchise as well.
Alyssa Healy will be leading UP Warriorz in the inaugural season of the WPL. Along with Healy, UP-W also have an impressive line-up of players and could make a strong case for themselves in the tournament. Deepti Sharma will be the deputy of Healy during the tournament.
In their first game, UP-W will be going up against Gujarat Giants on March 5. Jon Lewis will be the head coach of the franchise.
