Laura Wolvaardt is a crucial player in the South Africa Women’s squad as she has efficiently played the opening batter’s role. So far, in more than 120 international appearances, she has scored more than 4,000 runs for her team. Last year, the veteran scored 188 runs with a half-century in nine WT20I games at a strike rate of 107.42.

Talking about her overall WT20I record, she has notched 849 runs with four half-centuries in 47 WT20Is, at a strike rate of 109.83. At the Player Auction in Mumbai, she will go under the hammer at a price of INR 30 lakh only. Considering her remarkable experience and current form, the franchises might go after her.

Wolvaardt has also played a lot of cricket in the Women’s Big Bash League. In the initial two seasons, she was part of the Brisbane Heat, but since 2020, the fierce right-hander is a part of the Adelaide Strikers. Till now, she has piled up 1,230 runs in 67 matches at a strike rate of 108.65.
