Jaydev Unadkat buys Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV, priced over INR 1 crore

India cricketer Jaydev Unadkat has brought a premium Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV, which costs over INR 1 crore. The 31-year-old pacer purchased the 300d edition of the Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV with black finishing. 

The Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV is one of the most popular German SUVs in India which is driven by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 245 PS and 500 Nm of peak torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds and has an electronically regulated top speed of 225 km/h. It has a panoramic sunroof, seven airbags, four-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a fully digital instrument cluster of comparable size.

The video of Unadkat receiving the car, shared by the dealership Mercedes-Benz Landmark Cars Gujarat, has gone viral on social media. The cricketer and his family can be seen receiving a warm welcome while arriving at the dealership in the video. He even signed a cricket ball for the dealership after receiving the car.

Unadkat creates unique record with ODI comeback after 3,539 days

With a miraculous ODI comeback, Unadkat recently set a new India record. The 31-year-old was named to the Indian playing XI for the third and final ODI against the West Indies, which was contested at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad. Unadkat donned the Indian jersey after a record 3,539 days, setting a record for one of the longest gaps between games for a player between two ODI appeanraces.

Speaking about the third ODI, India outplayed the West Indies, winning the game by 200 runs to clinch the ODI series 2-1. After being invited to bat first, India posted 351 in the first innings and then restricted the hosts to 151, thanks to the excellent bowling efforts of Mukesh Kumar and Shardul Thakur. Unadkat picked up a wicket at an economy rate of 3.20 in his first ODI game since 2013.
