Team India (IND), captained by Rohit Sharma will play South Africa (SA) in the 37th match of the ongoing ICC Men's Cricket World Cup on Sunday, November 5, at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. With 14 points, India currently leads the points standings, while South Africa trailing closely behind with 12 points.

The Men in Blue are the first team to reach the semifinal and are yet to suffer a defeat in the ongoing competition. The hosts outclassed the Kusal-Mendis-led Sri Lanka with a convincing 302-run win at the storied Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in their recent match. Notably, the 2011 ODI World Cup final between India and Sri Lanka took place at the same stadium in which the hosts prevailed by six wickets to claim their second title in the prestigious competition in 28 years.

On the other hand, South Africa, who have also secured their semifinal spot in the competition, are coming off a comfortable 190-run win over New Zealand in their previous game. Both India and South Africa will be keen to maintain their winning streak as the competition is nearing its business end.
