India vs Bangladesh, T20 WC 2022 Match 35 Stats Preview: Players records and approaching milestones
Virat Kohli is just 16 runs away from becoming the leading run-scorer in T20 World Cup history.
Team India, after facing their first loss in the tournament against South Africa, now lock horns with Shakib Al Hasan’s Bangladesh side in Match 35 of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 on November 02 at the Adelaide Oval. After registering two consecutive victories over Pakistan and Netherlands, the Men in Blue suffered a loss to the Proteas in their third encounter. Bangladesh has won two out of the three matches and now face a tougher challenge in the form of India.
Rohit Sharma and his side are hot favorites for the World Cup and they lived up to that tag by sealing wins in their opening two encounters. Batters Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav have been doing the bulk of the scoring with skipper Rohit also registering a half-century against the Netherlands. Seam bowler Arshdeep Singh is the leading wicket-taker for the Asian giants so far with seven scalps to his name.
The form of KL Rahul is a concern for the 2007 champions as he has managed to score only 22 runs in the three outings. The management is looking to keep faith in the dashing opener as he looks set to face the Bangla Tigers. The one-run loss in Bangalore in the 2016 edition would still be fresh in the minds of skipper Shakib as he looks for revenge and poses a threat to India’s campaign.
