IPL 2018: Kolkata Knight Riders releases its new anthem, featuring Shah Rukh Khan
The Knight Riders have been perhaps one of the most successful sides in the IPL over the years.
Each team who have been part of this ten years history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have adopted a specific type symbolic feature or relationship to communicate and connect with their millions of fans. All the different franchises have also supported some iconic and emotional anthems that allow the franchise lovers to come forward and support their team by enjoying every moment.
The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is one such franchise which is cheered by thousands of its supporters and has generated a huge fan base in the last ten years. However, the Shah Rukh Khan co-owned team has officially released its new anthem titled ‘KKRHaiTaiyaar’ (KKR is ready), which features its co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders himself.
The veteran Bollywood superstar featured in the previous anthem of KKR, ‘Korbo lorbo jeetbo’ (Play, fight, win), which was released in 2008 and it earned a lot of viewership and appreciations from the fans and people. More than the love, the KKR fans seemed to have a different type of connecting with the first KKR anthem. The newly conceptualized KKR anthem is finalized and directed by the creative team of DDB Mudra Group.

The whole anthem video shows how the KKR fans are getting ready for the IPL 2018 carnival and the video also displays some stunning dance performances. Most importantly, the most followed Bollywood personality Shah Rukh Khan leads the charge in the star-studded KKR anthem. The KKR CEO Venky Mysore revealed that the KKR marketing team sits back every year to come up with some eye-catching ideas to find the pulse of their fans.
He mentioned that this new anthem purely signifies the mood and atmosphere in the KKR camp and his team is ready to face all the hard challenges in the upcoming season. KKR has always been recognized as the franchise which feels and cares a lot about their fans and all their activities from the auction to the winning and losses are all important aspects which are dealt in accordance with their millions of supporters.
“Every year our marketing embarks on a research and insight backed exercise that aims to find the pulse of our fans to arrive at a tagline that rings most true to KKR. This year, along with the creative team at the DDB Mudra Group, the team has come up with #KKRHaiTaiyaar; which truly signifies the mood at our camp. The knights are ready for every challenge and a promise to give their best to the sport!,” said the KKR CEO as quoted by Insidesport.
