Injuries are unavoidable in sports hence IPL teams strive to provide the finest medical care to their players
2. Suryakumar Yadav
Mumbai Indians’ star middle-order batsman, has been officially ruled out of the rest of IPL 2022, owing to an injury to a muscle in his left forearm. SKY sustained the injury during the Mumbai Indians game against Gujarat Titans on May 6, when he hit an 11-ball 13 to help his team win by five runs. Suryakumar’s exclusion from the squad was decided after discussions with the BCCI’s fitness team.
Suryakumar has been sidelined for the second time in recent months due to injuries. He spent three weeks rehabilitating at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru before the commencement of the IPL after suffering a hairline fracture on his thumb in the final match of the T20I series against West Indies on February 22. As a result, he was forced to miss the opening week of the tournament and only made Mumbai’s XI for their third match of the season, against Knight Riders on April 6.
The 31-year-old was only able to play 8 matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. He hit 303 runs for Mumbai Indians at an outstanding average of 43.29 in the eight games including three half-centuries. But he will no longer be available in the remaining matches of TATA IPL 2022.
