IPL 2022: Best Indian XI from the seventh week
Seven teams are still in contention for the remaining three spots in the playoffs.
7. Ravichandran Ashwin (RR)
Ashwin’s orthodox approach mixed with his intellectual capacity has always shone through his game. He is the kind of all-rounder that will keep bowlers and batters simultaneously in check. Ashwin did not bat against Punjab earlier this week but bowled all his four overs.
He took the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan where only a total of five wickets fell. In another match against Delhi, he scored a crucial half-century. His 50-off 38 anchored the innings for Rajasthan to put up a total of 160 on the board.
He was the highest run-scorer for RR in that match. RR was only able to scalp two wickets of DC, but Ashwin remained considerably economical in his four overs and gave away 32 runs at an economy of 8 with seven dots.
