Jason Roy was a steal buy for the Gujarat Titans as he was bought for the base price of INR 2 crore and surprisingly, no team went after England’s dashing opener. The 31-year-old recently struck an excellent century in the Pakistan Super League 2022 and it helped his side Quetta Gladiators chase down a huge score above 200.

Roy can be the perfect partner to Gill at the top of the order as he likes to take on the bowlers from the start and he can certainly provide the explosion needed for a big score. The right-hander is very aggressive throughout the phases and does play a lot of powerful cricketing shots.

He has played just the 13 IPL games so far, he has scored 329 runs. Roy has been in and out of IPL teams for a long time now but will have a lot more chances to prove his potential in the cash-rich tournament this time as he can have a massive impact once he gets going.
