Aussie all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the final two Tests against Australia scheduled to be played in Ranchi and Dharamsala respectively. The all-rounder was selected for the India series on the back of impressive performances in Sri Lanka in August last year.

Marsh didn’t do justice to his reputation in the first two Tests and was dismissed cheaply on all 4 occasions. He was under-bowled in both the matches and looked good in his brief stay in both Pune and Bangalore. He has been criticised by all and sundry for his relatively below-par performances in the series so far with some calling him the worst No.6 batsman.

The replacement for Marsh hasn’t been named yet but it will interesting to see who replaces him in Ranchi. The 2nd Test is scheduled to begin on 16th March at Ranchi with the last Test to be played in Dharmasasala from 25th March.
