Mitchell Starc's younger brother qualifies for Olympics 2016 high jump final
Mitchell Starc is currently featuring in Australia tour to England, where his younger brother Brandon Starc had qualified for the finals of the high jump at the Rio Olympics 2016. The two brother are making the family proud.
Starc expressed his joy in his younger brother’s achievement, as he took on the social platform Twitter to express his happiness. “What a legend young cratsy… qualified for the Olympic final good boy!!! Very proud… #whatalegend @Brandonstarc93,” Mitchell Starc wrote on his Twitter handle.
Brandon is just a shot away from a gold medal for Australia or at least a medal to add to the medal tally of Australia. However, the high jump matches are will begin before the sun rises in Colombo on August 17, which is also the final day of the third Test match against the host, Sri Lanka. Thus, he will have to wake up early to watch his brother play live on screen.
The Australian Olympic Team’s official account also termed him as the ‘rising star’ of the high jump. “ATHLETICS: Australia’s rising star of the high jump @Brandonstarc93 is through to the final! #OneTeam,” they wrote in the official Twitter account.

Mitchell Starc is the spearhead of the Australian bowling line-up as he had Australia to several victories at the young age of 26. He has played a vital role in Australia winning the ICC World Cup 2015 as he was named as the Player of the Tournament after the beat the co-host New Zealand in the final.
Mitchell Starc has represented Australia in 27 Test matches, 51 ODIs, and 20 T20 internationals. On the other hand, Brendon Taylor had already won a medal at the Youth Olympics in Singapore in 2010.
