Mumbai Indians traded Trent Boult with Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2020 IPL edition. Boult had picked up just 5 wickets from 5 matches, and his economy rate too, was on the higher side (8.58) in the 2019 edition. Mumbai added Boult to their bowling arsenal and decided to give the left-arm pacer a salary of INR 3.2 Crore. And, Mumbai will surely not be regretting that decision.

The New Zealand bowler emerged as the third-highest wicket-taker in the 2020 edition and played a key role in Mumbai lifting the IPL title for a record fifth time. Boult picked up 25 wickets and took his wickets at a stunning strike rate of 13.76. His average too was just 18.28 in the 13th IPL edition, and he rattled several batting lineups through the course of the tournament.

Boult has been retained by the Mumbai side for the upcoming IPL edition. In his career in the T20 extravaganza, the southpaw has played 48 matches and picked up 63 wickets.
