Ravi Shastri – The On and Off Field All-rounder: Ravi Shastri has been one of the most charming characters of Indian cricket with exquisite contributions for the game. As a matter of fact, he has been the all-rounder not only on the field but also off it. Of late, another feather has been added to his cap when he was assigned the role of the acting coach of the Indian team for the Bangladesh tour. And quite readily, Ravi Shastri accepted his new role as if it was just what the doctor had ordered. To sum up things, here is the list of the facts that we might not have known about the real All-rounder of Indian Cricket, Ravi Shastri.

Yup, Indeed! Ravi Shastri was the second batsman ever (first being Sir Gary Sobers) to hit 6 sixes in an over in Cricket. Shatri achieved this feat in the Indian domestic Ranji Trophy match between Baroda and Mumbai in January, 1985. Shastri managed to dispatch Tilak Raj, the spinner for six sixes in an over and in the process went onto score the fastest double century in First Class cricket at that time.
