Watch: Shane Warne has a great time at the Coldplay concert in Melbourne
Former Australian cricketer and spin bowling legend Shane Warne was recently on the stage with British rock band Coldplay. Warne played harmonica alongside the band’s vocalist and keyboardist Chris Martin, in Melbourne. Martin was visibly stunned by Warne’s skills with the musical instrument and so were the 55,000 Coldplay fans who gathered at the Etihad Stadium.
Warne who is a fan of the band himself posted pictures and a video of the event on his Instagram account. He wrote: “Thank you to my good friends Chris, Will, Johnny & Guy for inviting me on stage with you last night. I’m very grateful for that amazing experience & was truly an honour to join you.
“Also, a huge thank you to the crowd for being so nice & cheering me when I played the harmonica (badly), you were all very very kind & awesome ! @coldplay #HFODT #Melbourne #concert.”
He was super excited at the way the show was turning on to be and termed it insane. “@coldplay going off in Melbourne ! What a show, insane how good these guys are… #HFODT” Warne wrote on Instagram.
He couldn’t help but post videos from the gig. Warne seems to have enjoyed it so much that he was going for it again with his family this time- his children and mom and dad.
“Another video from last nights amazing @coldplay concert in Melbourne ! Just awesome & pumped to go again later tonight with my children & mum & dad ! #HFODT”
Earlier in November Coldplay had also performed in India as a part of their tour. It received an enormous response from fans and the show despite high priced tickets was sold out. AR Rahman who is considered to be the best music director in India also accompanied Chris Martin on stage at the concert in Mumbai.
