However, while making the attempt, the former cricketer goofed up because ‘thiriki poghadha’, as he mentioned towards the end, did not mean anything in the local language. There were a few fans who trolled him for the same too. Despite this, the home crowd buzzed out loud in support of their skipper, MS Dhoni, who made his 200th appearance as leader of the franchise.

CSK lose five in run chase

Sanju Samson and Co. posted a competitive total of 175 runs in their stipulated 20 overs of the contest. After Jos Buttler, Devdutt Padikkal, and Ravichandran Ashwin returned scores of 52, 38, and 30 runs. Shimron Hetmyer remained unbeaten and scored a quickfire 18-ball 30 which included two maximums and two fours.

In response, Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed for mere eight runs in the chase. However, opener Devon Conway took the onus and played a delicate knock, scoring a fifty, to steer the side to a potential win at their fortress. But eventually, CSK ended on the losing side as Rajasthan emerged victorious by three runs.
